The 22nd to 26th May was National Walk to School Week. We spent the week learning about the benefits of leaving the car at home when travelling to and from school.

Eco-school club held an assembly explaining many reasons why it is good to walk to school. Some of these included,

  • Meeting friends on the way
  • Finding shortcuts
  • Getting fit
  • Can stop and play
  • See lots of interesting things
  • Reduces pollution and congestion

We held a poster competition. These are the winning entries.

Each day we asked all of the classes how they travelled to school. Ash class made bar charts to show the results for their class.
