with yellow spots the lights to be turned on first in each class.
They have put posters around the school to remind people to save energy. Each class has two
energy monitors.

Transport Action

In May St John’s held a ‘Walk to School’ week. The whole school and parents were encouraged to
leave their cars at home and walk or cycle to school. Classes recorded how people came to school
each day. All classes learnt about the benefits of walking to school.
We held a poster competition – these were the winning entries.
Visit the Walk to School website here
Cycle training has been held in Year 6, and Year 5 took part in the Carterton ‘Go-Ride’ competition.
