Sycamore Y5 - Autumn

This term in Sycamore we have based a lot of our learning around The success of the Beatles. We have discovered who the Beatles were and why they were so important for many different reasons. We have linked this topic to our ICT skills and actually graphed sales of Beatle’s singles. During October we invited the whole of class Key Stage 2 to our Beatle afternoon.

A local musician named Chris Oddy performed a live set of 10 Beatle records. We have written poetry based on flies and what anxieties and stress they might cause us. During our Harvest focus we looked at the facts behind homelessness and brought in food to help the Night Shelter, which is a charity in Oxford.
