This year Class 1 and 2 performed their own version of The Little Red Hen, a musical they had performed with the Burford Partnership of schools. Class 1 worked hard to write their own story to go with all the songs. Classes 3 and 4 performed their favourite songs from throughout the year. The orchestra performed several pieces as did our individual musicians. See more photos here.

MUSIC CONCERT |
22 NOVEMBER 2007 |
On Tuesday 22 November, we were very lucky to be visited by the County Music Service, who performed at out school. They told us about the different families of instruments. We were amazed at some of the instruments and especially when one of the men played a tune using a garden hose pipe. The musicians played many tunes we knew. |

YEAR 6 PERFORM AT THE ALBERT HALL |
14 NOVEMBER 2007 |
On Wednesday 14th November our Year 6 children performed as part of the Oxfordshire Masses Choir at the Schools Prom 2007 at the Albert Hall, in London. Five hundred Oxfordshire children took part from thirty three primary schools. It was a night to remember. The choir were delighted to be approached by Richard Stilgoe to give the premier performance of Five Thousand Children, a piece composed at the request of WaterAid. The songs described some of the problems of the developing world – faraway water sources requiring long daily journeys to fetch often dangerous water, drought and bad hygiene – and the work WaterAid does to provide safe, clean water near people’s homes, and sanitation and health education. The songs reflected some of the places where WaterAid works – East Africa, South Africa, India and the Pacific Islands.More pictures hereQuotes from the children taking part“There was a lot of waiting but it was worth it. When we sang The Land of Hope of Glory it was an amazing sight as everyone was stood up and Union Jack flags were waving everywhere.” Pip“At the end balloons came down fro the ceiling and fireworks went off from the sides. Red, white and blue confetti came down all over the orchestra. Everyone clapped. It was cool!” Russell“It was breathtaking walking into the Albert hall. I could not believe how big it was.” Alex“The Albert hall was so much bigger inside than outside. It was such a good feeling to be singing in front of 4500 other people.” Ben
