SCHOOL GROUNDS

Brize Norton Primary School benefits from fantastic grounds facilities to support all aspects of education. The school playground space features a hard surface and astro pitches. The School  Council raised funds to install a trim trail for use at playtimes. We benefit from a wildlife area with butterfly garden, log pile habitat and school pond, not to mention our school chickens which are looked after by children and parent volunteers. Our vegetable garden allows all children to learn the skills of being self-sufficient. Children from all classes are involved in maintaining the garden and we have an active gardening club who ensure our crops are well cared for.

Foundation Stage benefit from their own garden. This includes a play area, sensory area and outside stage. The outside decking area provides all the children need for all year round outdoor education. Children in Foundation Stage also benefit from the use of our nearby Forest School site which they visit each week.

Brize Norton Primary School is committed to educating children about looking after their local environment and how this can have a wider impact on looking after the world. The Eco-team proactively look at ways to further our environment work and have achieved the nationally recognised Green Flag award.
